I am a very strong believer in separation of church and state. The marriage of the two is the cause of millions of martyrs over the centuries. It is a Baptist distinctive and was championed by Baptists in the founding of our nation. Ironically, it is those who so strongly yell the term today who are the most likely to oppress Christian faith.
